The manufacturer of boron trifluoride (BF3) in China

Boron Trifluoride Phosphoric Acid Complex

• Due to the hazardous properties of BF3, the product should only be handled by users who have received appropriate training. For more information on BF3 and available training, please visit our website.

• BF3 is a nonflammable, colorless compressed gas with a pungent odor. If accidentally released to the air, BF3 reacts immediately with moisture to form a dense white cloud containing BF3- hydrate(s), which can be further hydrolyzed upon water contact to form strong acids, e.g., boric acid, fluoroboric acid and hydroxyfluoroboric acid.

• Exposure to BF3 must be avoided because the vapor is highly suffocating and irritating to the respiratory tract and exposure to liquid or vapor can produce severe irritation and possibly burns. Workplace exposure limits have been established for use in worksite safety programs.

• Repeated exposures may cause damage to the kidneys and lungs, dental fluorosis (mottling of teeth), and low levels of calcium in blood.
